Difilcultades: No hubo difulcultades

Logros: Logramos lo que quieramos

Canciones Tipicas del Ecuador

CANCIONES TIPICAS DEL ECUADOR

Géneros musicales del Ecuador

Instrumentos musicales Ecuatorianos

I satellites measure that Antarctica is losing land ice at an accelerated pace.
Since 2002, satellites of GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, Experiment Gravity Recovery and Climate, is a joint space mission between NASA and the German Space Agency) have been able to fully measure all the ice. Satellites measure changes in gravity table to determine variations across the Antarctic ice sheet. Initial observations show that most of the mass loss comes from the western Antarctic.
To get more information Grace, it is better understood change is the ice sheets of Antarctica. The figure below shows the changes of ice mass during periods of April 2002 to February 2009. The blue lines show values unfiltered, monthly. They have removed red seasonal variabilities.

Polar Bears

polar bear
The polar bear, also known as white bear is by its size, the owner of the lands of the Arctic. Its closest relative is the brown bear. The differences between the two species are determined by each adaptations to their environment. In their adaptation to cold areas, the fur of the polar bear has become clearer, being thicker and waterproof. The soles of his feet are covered with hair to move on icy surfaces.

The polar bear is an agile animal, on land and in water. You can swim at a speed of 10 km / hour and can even sleep in the water. It is also capable of climbing icy inaccessible areas.

Usually a solitary animal. When the cold arrives hibernates in a den digging himself in the snow. Their main food is seals, especially in winter. In the summer it becomes almost vegetarian. Due to climate change, this species of bears can be seen very affected.

The zone temperature increases twice faster than in the rest of the planet and the Arctic sea ice melts at an average of 9% every ten years. At the moment there are about 25,000 worldwide, of which 3,000 to 5,000 are in the European Arctic.
By changing its habitat, this bear can adapt to new climatic conditions, but it is a change we can not be sure, and some studies indicate the possibility of extinction by the year 2100

Because polar bears are in danger of extinction?

Polar bears live in a very specific habitat. They need the cold, snow and ice from the polar regions, hence its name. They have very few natural threats in this polar region. Polar bears are at the top of the food chain and there are no other animals in the north that endanger, this approach makes us question why they are on the list of endangered species endangered.

Polar bears are not endangered because of other animals, or because they are being hunted excessively, but by a direct effect on the way humans treat the Earth and the environment. People think that our planet is indestructible, but the fact is that yes it is and we are destroying.

Polar bears live in the Arctic, and like many other places on Earth, the Arctic region has had scientists investigating about what is happening in that region. Scientists have been testing depth in the core so that drill a hole down into the ice and take a core. In this ice core can get very specific information about the weather, the atmosphere and temperature for a specific time period.

Tests have revealed deep core CO2 data (carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere. There is a natural range up and down at levels that have never been to over 300 parts per million, that is, until recent years. This means that carbon dioxide must leave the Earth's atmosphere then left within it. Carbon dioxide that stays on Earth, also known as greenhouse gases, raises the temperature of the planet causing the "greenhouse effect."
